{"id":11,"date":"2014-08-11T12:48:26","date_gmt":"2014-08-11T11:48:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/ap_new\/ap\/?page_id=11"},"modified":"2025-11-17T17:54:26","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T16:54:26","slug":"administration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/auchipoly.edu.ng\/ap\/about-the-school\/administration\/","title":{"rendered":"Administration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"background-color: #ffffff; color: #333333; font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; margin: 10px;\">\n<h3>The Rector<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2730\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2730\" style=\"width: 233px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2730 \" src=\"https:\/\/auchipoly.edu.ng\/ap\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Rector-150x150.png\" alt=\"Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar - Rector\" width=\"233\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/auchipoly.edu.ng\/ap\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Rector-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/auchipoly.edu.ng\/ap\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Rector-66x66.png 66w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 233px) 100vw, 233px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2730\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<span class=\"su-dropcap su-dropcap-style-default\" style=\"font-size:2.5em\">A<\/span> Chief Lecturer, Umar holds the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Statistics of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.<\/p>\n<p>He attended the Government Secondary School, Gumi; Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna, between 1987 and 1993 where he obtained the National Diploma and the Higher National Diploma in Statistics; the University of Ibadan from 1997 and 1998 where he obtained the Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics.\u00a0 In 2002, he obtained the Masters degree in Statistics of the University of Ibadan.<\/p>\n<p>A professional Statistician, Umar is a member of several professional bodies amongst which are membership of Nigeria Statistical Association; Nigeria Statistical Society; International Research and Development Institute; Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria; International Association of Engineers and Computer Scientists and the Institute of Management Consultants. He is a Fellow of the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development and Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants.<\/p>\n<p>He has to his credit many academic and scholarly publications in several National and International journals.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Umar began his academic career with the Auchi Polytechnic in 1994 and rose steadily to become a Chief lecturer.\u00a0 He later joined the Services of Kaduna Polytechnic as a Chief Lecturer in 2018 a position from which he got his new appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Umar has at various times served as moderator and external examiner to the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, and the Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna.<\/p>\n<p>The new Rector has made tremendous and significant contributions to the country and the community.\u00a0 He has served as Special Marshall in the Federal Road Safety Commission; Patron, Red Cross Society, Etsako West Division; Member Rotary Club of Auchi Metropolitan; Patron Man O\u2019 War Club of Auchi Polytechnic; Patron, Road Accident Prevention Club of Nigeria of the the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and Coordinator Certificate of Merit Association of Computer and Statistics Students.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Umar is married and blessed with children.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>The Team<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Deputy Rector (Administration):\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/staff.auchipoly.edu.ng\/node\/profiles\/engr-dr-mrs-edith-nwabuogo-oyati\/\">Engr. A.
