OSIGBEMHE, <\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The School of Evening Studies was founded in 1988 with the initial name of Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). It took off with the Department of Secretarial Studies for the award of Confidential Secretary, Grade III Certificate. In the 2005\/2006 academic session, it assumed the name School of Part-time Studies (SPATS) before its current name of School of Evening Studies (SES) came into being in the 2006\/2007 academic session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aims and Objectives:<\/strong> Set up to complement the regular programmes on the roster of the Polytechnic, the School of Evening Studies boasts of the following aims:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To play a pivotal and catalytical role in the technological transformation of Nigeria.&lt;&#8216;li&gt;<\/li>\n<li>To promote quality in education by striving for excellence in teaching, research, student support and overall management.<\/li>\n<li>To create job opportunities through graduands who are job creators.<\/li>\n<li>To cultivate and advocate ethical behaviour in all aspects of its functioning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The School of Evening Studies (SES) programmes run for three (3) years for both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in all academic programmes.
