NASEME Acting Commandant Pays Courtesy Visit to Auchi Polytechnic, Seeks Academic Partnership
On Friday, September 12, 2025, the Acting Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME), Brigadier General C.A. Ekeator, paid a familiarization visit to Auchi Polytechnic, located in Auchi, the headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.The visit was aimed at introducing the new leadership of NASEME to the Polytechnic and exploring avenues for academic collaboration—particularly in facilitating academic certification for army personnel undergoing technical training at the military institution.
Receiving the Commandant and his delegation, the Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. Sanusi Shehu Umar, welcomed the initiative and commended the Nigerian Army for recognizing the importance of academic qualifications in complementing technical and military skills.He expressed the Polytechnic’s readiness to partner with NASEME in building a robust framework for the professional and academic advancement of military personnel.
Both parties engaged in fruitful discussions on integrating structured academic programs with the technical training offered at NASEME, in a bid to ensure that officers graduate with recognized academic credentials in relevant fields.
The visit ended on a promising note, with both institutions pledging to establish a sustainable partnership model that will serve the strategic needs of the Nigerian Army and further enhance the Polytechnic’s contribution to national development.
