The Governing Council has appointed TPL Abubakar Zakariyya Alhasan as the Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic. This subsits up untill the appoinment os a substansive Rector. Prior to his appointment, he was the Deputy Rector of the polytechnic. A Chief Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning.

The Federal government has appointed Engr. Mustapha Adebayo Zubair as the Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic consequent the demise of Dr. (TPL) Sanusi Jimah who was Rector.
